SUMM ER are a new group from Newcastle, UK, girl-boy revolutionaries playing some kind of bleary-eyed, lackadaisical post-punk-pop. The traditional "rock" instruments are there but the rhythms lead the way through taut, vocal-driven and anthemically minimal (or minimally anthemic?) tunes. Over 9 tracks and 31 minutes, the group provide moments of bliss and contemplation, with looping and sometimes hypnotic, layered octave vocals.
