DC's Protect-U operate in the hinterlands of techno's boundaries, creating alluring tunes that escape the more formulaic constricts of the genre. Honing their craft for well over a decade, across releases for Future Times, Vibrations and Planet Mu, In Harmony of an Interior World is a boldly-crafted vision that stands tall as the group's third full-length release (the second for their own U-Udios imprint). Some may peg it IDM but it's a far cry from the tender blips of Morr Music, there's a muscularity and fierceness to these tunes that sets them apart. Not to say there isn't also beauty and tenderness to be found in ample supply as well.
