Dwight Sykes - On the Rocks CD

Dwight Sykes is a musician currently based in Stone Mountain, Georgia, crafting homespun, lo-fi boogie-disco-R&B on his Tascam 464 four-track console from different corners of America across several decades. Since linking some years back with the heroes of PPU (Peoples' Potential Unlimited, DC's label of electro-funk-leftfield-weirdness), everal collections of Sykes's unique R&B have been birthed out to the wider world. "On the Rocks" is just one of these special compilations, nearly released around 1980 but only truly unleashed onto the world in 2017—hence the beautifully poignant cover, mixing together a shadowy representation of Dwight today alongside a figment of the past. We have a few budget copies of this gem on CD, so highly recommended!
